With mini-album Fovere dropping on 4th March, LA electronic maverick TOKiMONSTA has given us a teaser of what is to come with surprise release 'Giving Up'. Featuring a pair of unlikely collaborators in The Drums' frontman Jonny Pierce and Lettuce's incredible bassist Erick Coomes, 'Giving Up' sees the bridging of musical minds across genres and the result is as dreamy as it is deliciously disorientating. Full of interesting experiments bouncing off each other underneath the silky vocals of Pierce, the collage of sounds is both artful and intriguing as new details come to the forefront with every listen. Clearly made with open minds and little agenda but jamming, TOKiMONSTA gives a masterclass in creative collaboration. - SJ
